How can I help you along your journey?
I have over a decade of experience working with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) across education, policy and fitness to practise. For almost five years I was an inspector, visiting over 600 registered pharmacies across England, Scotland and Wales.
I contributed to GPhC guidance on independent prescribing and on safe and effective pharmacy teams, and I am qualified as an independent prescriber myself. I also support the day-to-day operations of an independent family-owned pharmacy, so I understand the pressures owners face from both sides of an inspection.
Those experiences showed me how many different ways there are to run a pharmacy well. I am a passionate believer in the power and potential of pharmacy, which is why I left the GPhC in February 2020 to use my experience to support the profession directly.
Having extensively inspected a range of online pharmacies as a GPhC inspector, and more recently moved into digital health, I have a close understanding of online and technology-heavy pharmacies, where the website, systems and remote processes matter as much as the premises. I can help you test all of it before an inspector does.
Through My Pharmacy Standards I offer mock inspections designed to run as the GPhC would run them, governance and SOP support, help with new premises applications, and online courses for CPD, revalidation and remediation. If you are not sure where to start, get in touch and we can talk it through.
